Make: Audi

Model: A5 - Start-Stop

Released: Mar 2010

Audi is expected to launch two new models in Australia with its fuel-saving Start-Stop technology as a standard feature. The Audi A4 and Audi A5 2.0 TFSI quattro models will come standard with Start-Stop technology, which on an average, reduces fuel consumption by up to 1.5 litres/100km in city driving.

Make: Mercedes-Benz

Model: E-class - Cabriolet

Released: Mar 2010

The W212 E-class Cabriolet is set to replace the CLK Cabriolet. Based on the two-door C207-series E-class Coupe, the Cabriolet – the fourth member of the new E-class range is likely to reflect powertrains of the E-class Coupe, with an entry-level 1.8-litre ‘250 CGI’ engine, to the range topping 5.5-litre V8 E500 Cabriolet.

Make: Volkswagen

Model: Golf - wagon

Released: Mar 2010

Volkswagen has confirmed that the upcoming Golf wagon will have the same petrol and diesel engine line-up as the hatchback versions when launched. Due for launch in the first quarter of 2010, the load-carrying Golf is set to offer both the 1.4-litre TSI forced-induction four-cylinder petrol engine as well as the TDI turbo diesel family.

Make: Audi

Model: A4 - TDi e

Released: Mar 2010

Audi is expected to launch its most efficient A4 variant the TDIe late in 2009. Over the 2.0 TDI range, the TDIe version has a number of modifications, such as stop/start technology, to achieve 4.9L/100km (down from 5.8L/100km) Aiding these figures are aerodynamic modifications to alloy wheels and bootlid.

Make: Volkswagen

Model: Transporter

Released: Mar 2010

An updated Transporter van range is due in March, with new engines and a fresh face. Volkswagen has applied some of its best technology to the revised T5 range of vans, people-movers and cab-chassis utes, with standard ESC, common-rail diesel engines – and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (DSG) transmission.

Make: Mazda

Model: Mazda6

Released: Mar 2010

Mazda Australia has confirmed a mid-March launch for the facelifted Mazda6. The upgraded Mazda6 will come with a new front bumper and grille, fresh headlights and tail-lights and new alloy wheel designs. Powerplants to continue unchanged.

Make: Honda

Model: CR-V

Released: Mar 2010

Honda’s facelifted CR-V won't arrive in Australia until well after its European rollout, in mid-2010. The new-look CR-V gets a fresh grille and revised front and rear bumpers. The new 110kW/350Nm 2.2-litre diesel released in Europe has been ruled out for Australia.

Make: Renault

Model: Clio

Released: Mar 2010

Renault’s facelifted Clio is destined for Australia, but only in the sporty Renaultsport guise. The Clio RS200 is powered by a normally aspirated 2.0-litre engine which produces 149kW/215Nm. Acceleration from zero to 100km/h takes just 6.9 seconds, while achieving a fuel economy of only 8.2L/100km.
