Model: CL-class

Released: Nov 2010

The biggest changes to the facelifted CL are under the bonnet, with engines promising more power and lower emissions. The entry-level CL500 BlueEfficiency is claimed to return 23 per cent lower fuel consumption while CO2 emissions reduce from 288 to 224g/km. Meanwhile, fire-breathing AMG versions will debut AMG's new 5.5-litre twin-turbo, direct-injection V8.

The upgraded Smart ForTwo Coupe and Cabrio will feature new exterior colours, cabin enhancements and tweaks to the Mitsubishi-sourced 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine – in both naturally aspirated micro hybrid drive (MHD) and turbocharged form.

Model: Micra

Released: Nov 2010

NISSAN is expected to extend the model range of its next-generation Micra light car by adding an entry-level three-door manual version in 2011. Micra sourcing will most likely switch from Japan to Thailand as Nissan seeks to become price competitive against the top-selling Toyota Yaris and Hyundai’s Getz.

Released: Nov 2010

Volvo will unveil its second-generation S60 sedan in locally in late 2010. Based on the S60 concept from Detroit 2008 (pictured), it shares the same platform as the XC70 and S80 models. The S60 will herald a new cabin architecture, a different engine direction and updated safety-related technologies.

Model: C3

Released: Nov 2010

Citroen’s all-new Mark II five-door C3 will arrive in the third quarter of 2010. The company expects to tick the boxes on a similar three-model, three-engine range as the first generation. With its ground-breaking ‘high forehead’ Zenith windscreen, increased roominess and new levels of refinement.

Make: Lamborghini

Model: Gallardo - LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition

Released: Nov 2010

A collaboration between Lamborghini and Swiss watch-maker Blancpain, the limited-run LP 570-4 will have a large fixed rear spoiler and unique engine cover derived directly from the race cars in the one-make Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing series. A dry weight of just 1340kg combined with a 419kW 5.2-litre V10 will result in acceleration from 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds.

Make: Mitsubishi

Model: Triton - Club Cab

Released: Nov 2010

Mitsubishi will reintroduce a third body derivative of the Triton one-tonner with the four-door/five-seat Club Cab. To be available in at least 4x4 diesel form, the Club Cab variant will join the cab-chassis/single-cab and dual-cab versions of the Triton ute for the first time in five years.
