HSV's final updates for its Australian-built range sees the return of the GTSR hero model line-up, which is topped by the 474kW W1. The rest of the range welcomes smaller updates that celebrate the 30th anniversary of the manufacturer.

Released: Sep 2010

In addition to optional dual-fuel liquid propane injection system that will enable the 325kW V8 to run on LPG without a reduction in power, the updated Grange will feature high-tech goodies such as a blind-spot warning system and touch-screen with race-style data monitoring.

Model: E Series 2 - range

Released: Sep 2009

Holden Special Vehicles will launch a facelifted version of its E Series range in late 2009. With claims of a major reduction in fuel consumption and a power increase to its 6.2-litre V8 engine range. HSV says the “multi-million dollar” upgrade will comprise of major visual differentiation, and a number of driver enhancements.

Model: Tourer

Released: Oct 2008

Holden Special Vehicles will produce its own version of Holden's upcoming Sportwagon, with sales commencing in October. Based on the ClubSport R8, the HSV Tourer will come powered by a 6.2-litre V8 delivering 317kW. This will be HSV's first wagon since the Holden Adventra-based Avalanche.

Model: W427 - Supercar

Released: Jul 2008

HSV revealed at the 2008 Melbourne International Motor Show what it said could be the fastest road-registrable vehicle ever built in Australia: the W427 Supercar. So-called due to its employment of the Corvette’s 7.0-litre (427 cubic-inch) LS7 V8, developing in excess of 370kW/640Nm.

Model: Grange

Released: May 2007

The redesigned HSV luxury flagship based on Holden's WM Statesman/Caprice will go on sale early 2007 priced under $100,000. Powered by the new E Series SWB sedan's 307kW/550Nm LS2 V8, HSV claims the new Grange will be "one of the fastest luxury/sports limousines in the world".

Model: Corvette

Released: Oct 2005

HSV toyed with the idea of a locally converted Corvettes for some time but eventually decided against making them available in any number. With the reveal of the all-new 2005 Corvette at Detroit 04, all that could change if HSV makes the business case for right-hand drive conversion work.

Released: May 2004

The latest iterations of HSV's flagship coupe and sedan models debuted at the 2004 Melbourne show - six months after the facelifted Y Series 2 range went on sale. Deliveries begin in May. Expect Ohlins shocks, new steering, the same 300kW V8 and pricing of $97,500 (GTS sedan) and $98,500 (GTS Coupe).

Model: Avalanche

Released: Jan 2004

Avalanche is HSV's take on Holden's AWD Adventra. The Commodore wagon-based Avalanche debuted at the 2003 Sydney motor show but has been delayed from showrooms until January. It will feature a 270kW 5.7-litre V8, 0-100km/h acceleration in 6.3 seconds and $75,000-plus pricing.

Released: Sep 2003

HSV releases its WK Grange long-wheelbase sports limousine, based on the latest Caprice, in early September prior to the launch of its YII short-wheelbase Commodore-derived range and the Monaro-based Coupe III. Just 100 Granges will be built in 2003, with 60 sales already accounted for.

Model: Y Series II

Released: Sep 2003

Due on sale in September, HSV's Y Series II range features a 285kW 5.7-litre V8 as standard, plus a number of suspension, interior and options updates. There are price rises across the board and the range-topping GTS won't go on sale - in limited numbers - until February 2004.

Model: Coupe - III

Released: Sep 2003

On sale from September, HSV's revised Series III Coupe comes with all of Holden's Monaro III updates, like revised suspension including strut tower brace, plus new interiors, features and a 285kW version of HSV's 5.7-litre Chev V8. As such, 0-100km/h acceleration drops by 0.3 seconds to 5.3.
