Porsche’s Panamera range gets an update in late 2013, but the controversial styling will remain largely unchanged. The update will mainly be related to powertrains, with a new plug-in hybrid version on the cards and an upgraded V6. Fuel consumption for the Hybrid Porsche is a respectable 3.5 litres per 100km, compared to 7.1L/100km for the current hybrid model.

That buys the most powerful version ever seen of Porsche's 4.8-litre petrol V8, producing 410kW and 750Nm outputs (increasing to 800Nm for short bursts in ‘overboost’ mode). The result is a sprint to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.
