Car reviews - Volkswagen - Bora - V6 4Motion sedan
13 Sep 2001
IT might be based on the Golf, but the Bora sedan shares no common panels with its five-door stablemate. Like other European manufacturers, Volkswagen has forgone practicalities such as rear seat headroom with its use of a curved, coupe-like roof that draws inspiration from the New Beetle and enhances the sedan's visual appeal. Apart from the enormous VW badge on the chrome-slatted grille, the most striking features of the 4Motion front-end is the bold, rectangular clear-glass headlight clusters which incorporate low and high beam, indicators and foglights and aim to create a modern, technically advanced visual impression. At the rear, a dual chrome exhaust tip gives an indication of the car's V6 performance.
