Audi RS5 debuts dynamic ride control and packs in extra value, but still no bargain
12 Dec 2011
AUDI’S bahnstorming RS5 has been in Australian showrooms for just over a year and already the Ingolstadt-based brand’s local outpost has introduced a Limited Edition, with just 25 examples built in a specification and colour scheme unique to Australia.
Packing in a claimed $13,610 worth of extra value with no increase to the RS5’s $175,300 sticker price, the Limited Edition heralds the debut in the RS5 of an optional sports suspension package with three-mode dynamic ride control.
One criticism of the RS5 has been its kidney-bashing ride on poor surfaces and the optional suspension system should alleviate this in comfort mode, while providing sharper responses for spirited driving with dynamic mode selected.
We sampled a dynamic ride control-equipped RS5 Limited Edition on track.
Model release date: 1 September 2011 to 1 January 2012
