HOT on the heels of its XKR 75 special-edition, which won’t be made available in Australia, and next week’s local release of the redesigned XJ limousine, Jaguar has unveiled a 75th Anniversary Edition of its sleek XF V8 sedan.
The unique new XF variant will be priced at just $128,900 plus on-road costs when it goes on sale Down Under in the fourth quarter of this year, representing a $15,590 saving over the least expensive 5.0-litre XF currently on offer – the V8 Premium Luxury ($144,490).
Designed to celebrate the British luxury brand’s 75th anniversary, the latest in a series of special-edition Jaguars to be released is differentiated externally by 20-inch ‘Senta’ alloy wheels and exhaust outlet finishers, while inside there is unique ‘75 Years’ centre console badging and the addition of a portable audio interface.
Jaguar Australia general manager Kevin Goult said the company was proud to continue the 75th anniversary celebration of Jaguar with the release of the XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition.
“Jaguar's racing heart is reflected in a long history of powerful, dynamic and stylish vehicles,” he said.

“The XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition continues that tradition into the future with a true V8 driver’s car. It has the power, performance, dynamics and luxury Jaguar is renowned for and nothing beats that V8 sound.”
The XF’s 283kW/515Nm 5.0-litre direct-injection V8 – also seen in the XK and XJ – remains unchanged, and continues to accelerate the XF V8 to 100km/h in a claimed 5.7 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
Other specifications also remain the same, including the XF V8’s standard six-speed automatic transmission, leather-trimmed eight-way power-adjustable seats and steering wheel, knurled aluminium and real wood veneer interior highlights, phosphor blue halo lighting, keyless starting, automatic climate control, cruise control, eight-speaker sound system and touch-screen satellite-navigation system.
