The Explorer's mid-life facelift is too subtle to overcome a myriad of deficiencies
29 Mar 2001
AS Ford's answer to the likes of Toyota Prado, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Mitsubishi Pajero, Explorer 4WDs are a common sight on Australian roads. But the suspension is primitive and driver comfort questionable, both deficits in a hotly contested category.
