STUNG by mounting criticism and souring sales as a result of the earlier, post-2002 E-class’s reliability and quality woes, Mercedes introduced hundreds of changes designed to improve the range at the W211’s first and only facelift.More equipment was also added.The V6 petrol engine in the E350 developed 200kW of power and 350Nm of torque in sedan and Estate wagon varieties.While the rear wheels of the lower-end cars were driven via a five-speed automatic gearbox, the V6 featured the improved 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission.
