Mercedes-Benz A-class

A-Class

1 Feb 2013

MERCEDES-BENZ reinvented the A-Class hatch in 2013 as a sexy, performance-oriented premium small car offering that was aimed squarely at Volkswagen Golf buyers.

Available in four specifications from launch, the A-Class was priced in a similar league to the high-spec variants of popular small cars such as the Mazda3 and Ford Focus.

The A-Class was well-equipped for the price with the entry-level A180 available with 7-inch alloy wheels, self-parking, a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, ambient lighting, illuminated sill plates, an electric parking brake and two-tone fabric and leather-like Artico upholstery.

A200 variants had fuel economy figures of 6.1 litres per 100 kilometres for the petrol and 4.6L/100km for the turbo-diesel.
