Holden Statesman

WL Statesman and Caprice

1 Aug 2004

A minor front (grille, bumpers, bonnet), rear valance (taillights) and cabin (specification and trim) makeover is overshadowed by the inclusion of an all-new 190kW/340Nm 3.6-litre DOHC 24-valve V6 drivetrain and five-speed automatic gearbox.

The fresh V6 engine includes a stability control system, while both models gain improved ABS brakes, some suspension modifications, a more powerful (245kW/465Nm in the Statesman, 250kW/470Nm in Caprice) and refined 5.7 GEN-III V8 units, more standard equipment (including LED taillights and front parking sensors and a tyre-pressure monitor on the Caprice) and a revised colour range.
