Ford Falcon

EB II Falcon GLi

1 Mar 1992

GLi replaced GL. Growing to 4.0L, the standard 148kW/348Nm I6 engine proved quieter and more powerful, while increased sound deadening and body rigidity helped refinement.

Safety received a boost with a stronger roof and pillars, and optional anti-lock brakes.

From early ’93 a centre-rear lap-sash seat belt and an alarm/immobiliser became standard, while a Tickford-developed LPG system became available. Body-coloured bumpers give the EB II away. New standard features: Uprated 4.0L I6 engine, body coloured bumpers, lap sash seatbelts, power mirrors, immobiliser (from early ’93) Engine options: 165kW/388Nm 5.0L EFI V8
