The short-lived Pulsar Panel Van replaced the long-running Sunny Panel Van that was discontinued earlier in 1983.

It was a four-speed manual, front-wheel drive, half-tonne, two-door panel van based on the contemporary Nissan Sunny station wagon unavailable locally.

Power came courtesy of the E13-series 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine found in the base model Pulsar hatchback range. It weighed 840kg, offered a 540kg payload and featured a car-like cabin and driving experience.
