Mitsubishi gets pro-ACTiV

Diamond standard: Mitsubishi is offering buyers driveaway deals on their limited edition ACTiV models

Lancer, ASX and Outlander get sporty new special editions as Mitsubishi lures buyers

2 May 2012

MITSUBISHI Australia has released limited edition ACTiV variants of their three most popular passenger vehicles, the Lancer, ASX and Outlander.

The limited edition ACTiV range adds extra features and is designed to give a sportier flavour to the trio.

The Lancer ACTiV gains a Ralliart front bumper and grille, larger 16-inch wheels and side air dams to push the sporting theme while interior extras include voice-activated Bluetooth and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Mitsubishi’s best-selling model is available in ACTiV guise with a manual or CVT transmission in both the sedan and sportback body styles and comes at a driveaway price of $21,888.

The ASX ACTiV small SUV – priced at $27,990 with manual transmission – gets a body kit to give it a more aggressive look, Bluetooth, privacy glass and steering wheel controls for audio and Bluetooth.

The Outlander ACTiV is priced from $28,990 driveaway in front-wheel-drive form with a manual gearbox, but is also available with 4WD and a CVT auto.

All three ACTiV models come with Mitsubishi’s usual industry-leading warranty and service back-up.

Mitsubishi Australia vice-president of sales Anthony Casey said the ACTiV variants “offer all the style, comfort and safety features you expect from a Mitsubishi with a number of extras, making them outstanding value”.

Mitsubishi sales are believed to have fallen by 29 per cent in April.

New-generation Lancer and Outlander models are due later this year.
