SSANGYONG has replaced its ageing Musso Sports workhorse with a new hauler called the Actyon Sports. The new ute has the right tools for the job with a ladder frame chassis and a common-rail tubo-diesel engine. Available only as a crew cab, the Actyon Sports is competitively priced at $29,990. The ute was developed alongside the Actyon compact SUV wagon and the two models share running gear. While its SUV sibling is available only as a four-wheel-drive, the Actyon Sports ute is available either as a rear-drive or a 4WD model.

Family Tree: Sports Dual CabThe Actyon Sports replaces the Musso Sports, a hard working ute that was introduced in Australia in 2004. The Musso Sports played an important part in the re-launch of the SsangYong brand that year and was the best selling vehicle in the range. Based on a ladder frame chassis and available as a crew-cab, the Sports was a rugged vehicle made for work. It was available only with a 2.9-litre turbo-diesel, but could be ordered in either two-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive guises.
