BMW’S third-generation X3 mid-size SUV landed in Australian showrooms in November 2017, and at the time, was expected to becoming the premium brand’s best-selling model.
 
Available at launch in three flavours each with all-wheel-drive grip, the line-up kicked off with the turbo-diesel-powered 140kW/400Nm 2.0-litre xDrive20d.
 
The mid-tier xDrive30i was motivated by an 185kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, while the flagship at launch was the 190kW/620Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel xDrive30d.
 
All versions were paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, while standard equipment included a head-up display, cruise control, heated seats, automatic headlights and a 6.5-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, digital radio and wireless smartphone charging.
