The big one, in its size, space, range, refinement and sales, the locally designed CT18 KC “bubbleback” series’ enduring popularity cemented the Laser’s dominance.
A revamped 49kW 1.3 was joined by a new 54kW 1.6 and fuel-injected (EFI) 61kW 1.6L engines. The sporty S gave way to the fully imported 3-door TX3.
