MG to return

Comeback: MG's TF roadster will head back into production.

MG's Chinese owner confirms TF roadster will re-enter production in the UK and China

8 Feb 2007

CHINESE car-maker Nanjing Auto, which owns certain assets of the former MG Rover Group, has announced production of MG cars will resume at the Longbridge plant in England later this year.

It will initially produce the MG TF roadster for retail in the UK (and, presumably, other right-hand drive markets such as Australia) and China.

Most production will take place at Nanjing’s plant in China, however, final RHD assembly will take place at Longbridge.
