Citroen C3

1 Nov 2013

AFTER a short absence from the local market, Citroen’s new distributor Sime Darby re-introduced a refreshed version of its diminutive C3 light hatch in 2013 with a new front end and a simplified line-up.

Available in base Seduction or top-spec Exclusive, the C3 was a few grand cheaper than when it was last offered in Australia, but features a more generous standard equipment list.

Power for the base Seduction came from a 60kW three-cylinder 1.2-litre unit matched with a five-speed manual gearbox achieving fuel consumption of 4.5L/100km, while a four-cylinder 1.2-litre unit producing 88kW and sipping 6.6L/100km was available with a four-speed auto as an option in the Seduction and standard in the Exclusive.

Standard gear on entry-level Seduction variants included cloth trim, a Zenith windscreen, LED daytime running lights, 15-inch wheels, leather steering wheel, cruise control, Bluetooth with USB and auxiliary jack, an electric pack with power folding and heated door mirrors and electric windows.

The Exclusive added upgraded cloth trim, automatic digital air conditioning, reversing camera, rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, automatically dimming rear-view mirror, sat-nav and 17-inch alloy wheels.
