- Luxury car-makers are counting on a revival of the traditional stoush between the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the upcoming BMW 5 Series and latest Volvo S90 to breathe some life into the lacklustre luxury large car segment in 2017.

- The large-sedan sales malaise that led to the premature death of Australia’s homegrown duo, the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore, appears to have also infected the luxury segment where traditional sedans are struggling to attract families away from SUVs.
