NADA changes the guards

Pohanka elected to chair NADA in 2023, Gilchrist named new vice chair

THE National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has elected current vice chair Geoffrey Pohanka to chair the organisation for 2023 and appointed Gary Gilchrist as its next vice chair, indicating he is likely to be the group's chair in 2024.

 

Mr Pohanka (65) is a third-generation dealer who started in the automotive business in 1973 and current chair of Pohanka Automotive Group in Capitol Heights, Maryland. He represents new-car dealers in metro Washington DC on the NADA board of directors. 

 

His dealership group sells 15 brands at locations across Maryland, Virginia and Texas. The company was founded by his grandfather in 1919.
