Collins steps away from Honda helm

HONDA Australia COO and executive director Stephen Collins has resigned effective November 4 and will be succeeded by board director Carolyn McMahon.

Mr Collins, who has been with the company for 13 years and six months, was responsible for the radical transition last year of the Australian retail business from traditional franchise set-up to an agency model.

Honda’s automotive business was the first in Australia to move to an agency retail model that was promoted as providing new car buyers with a transparent and seamless buying and ownership experience.
