Hell yeah: Dodge topped the headlines at last year's show when it unveiled its 626kW/1044Nm Hemi-powered Challenger SRT Demon.

The Big Apple will gear up to host the fourth major motor show of 2018 in April, and as always, we expect it to be a biggie.

In 2017, and in true American form, it was big-bore V8 variants that stole the show. Dodge unveiled its ludicrous Challenger SRT Demon boasting devilish looks and a supercharged Hemi V8 that allowed it to clock the zero-to-100km/h sprint in just 2.3 seconds. Jeep had a similar idea, taking a detuned version of that same motor and chucking it under the bonnet of its Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Months away, we are unsure exactly what's is in store for this year's New York show, but we will keep you posted as soon as more information comes to light.
