Land Rover DiscoveryDiscovery1 Mar 2014 For a 2013 mid-life update, Land Rover made the significant decision to downsize the venerable Discovery's flagship V8 engine to a 3.0-litre supercharged V6, which cut power from 276kW to 250kW but critically increased fuel efficiency over the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre eight-cylinder. The range-topping engine revision also brought a price reduction, aligning the supercharged petrol V6 HSE with the more frugal diesel variants. Another first for the Discovery was a replacement of the bonnet leading edge Land Rover badge in favour of the model name, as well as a mild revision to wheel design, and front and rear end aesthetics. |
