Kia Sorento

MY Sorento

1 Jun 2015

For the third-generation Sorento, Kia focused less on a budget buyer and more on a customer with discerning style standards, who is willing to pay a premium for quality.

On the outside, its styling took a big step up in desirability with a "European" influence, while interiors took a similar leap forward with better quality materials and understated but classy design.

Entry level Si versions had good levels of equipment with standard navigation, reverse camera and all-round parking radar, while the top spec Platinum gained significant safety gear such as city braking, lane departure warning and active cruise control.

Like the previous version, the 2015 model had a choice of 2.2-litre diesel coupled to four-wheel drive, or a downsized 3.3-litre V6 naturally aspirated petrol, driving just the front wheels.

The all new version also dropped the previous entry-level manual, with all variants adopting a six-speed automatic transmission.
