Infiniti Q30

Q30

1 Aug 2016

The Q30 was described as Infiniti's “most important car” when it launched in August 2016, as it looked to help bolster the Japanese brand's fledging local line-up.

It joined the popular compact SUV segment as a competitor for the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and its cousin, the Mercedes-Benz GLA, upon which it was largely based.

The crossover launched with a five-variant line-up that featured three drivetrains – which were donated from Mercedes-Benz – ranging from the base-model 1.6t GT to the top-spec 2.2d Sports Premium.

Despite the lack of a reversing camera across the range, the Q30 offered a suite of driver assistance technologies like traffic sign recognition, as well as a five-star ANCAP safety rating.
