Chery J11

J11

1 Apr 2014

The Chery J11 – Australia's cheapest SUV at the time of launch – came in for a facelift in 2014, bringing a fresh chrome grille, new front bumper and redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lights.

A new 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol unit producing 93kW/160Nm was offered which was less powerful than the 102kW/182Nm 2.0-litre unit it replaced. A five-speed manual or seven-speed CVT was available.

The refreshed J11 consumed 7.4 litres of fuel per 100km, a 1.5L improvement over the old model.

It was still only offered with two airbags, but other standard features included rear parking sensors with a distance display, hill hold assist (manual versions), electronic stability control (ESC), ABS brakes with EBD, and remote audio controls on the steering wheel.
