Van life made easier by Trakka

Fully modular Trakkit X system enables custom fit outs for any commercial van

11 Aug 2023

SYDNEY-BASED Trakka has expanded its range of campervan and motorhome conversion packages once more with the introduction this week of its modular Trakkit X system.

Completely customisable, the system targets van owners who are ready to kit-out their set-up with what Trakka says is an innovative and quality product that is suitable for almost any commercial van.

Designed to be mounted in the side or rear of the van – or utilised as a mobile caddy – the Trakka X system is fully modular, allowing van owners to decide how the arrangement can best suit their needs.

Trakka says the system is designed not only with campers in mind, but also those who work on the road. The system offers the ability to charge and store appliances, provide drinking water or refrigerated drinks, or even cook a meal.

From launch, a range of modules – which Trakka says are designed to complement one another – will be offered.

These include a power module with in-built 1152Wh battery storage and alternator charging system, 1800W inverter, various charging outlets and portable LED lighting; a cooking module with induction cooktop, cutlery drawer and tableware storage; water module with tap and electric pump, collapsible sink and 22-litre potable water storage; and a refrigeration module with 35-litre fridge and power station connectivity.

To make the system as user-friendly and practical as possible, Trakka is simply secured to the vehicle floor using its original tie-down points meaning “minimal bolting is required”. From here, the modules are interlocked to one another using a laminated Lockit mechanism.

Trakka says there are no rules to how the modules are configured and says the modules arrive preassembled to make life easy.

In the future, the brand is also set to offer even more modules, saying we can expect to see barista, ensuite, cooling and connectivity modules in addition to a variety of accessories to further complement its modules.

The brand is also looking into the feasibility of constructing modules to suit cars, SUVs and four-wheel drives.

The Trakkit X system is currently available for a range of European vans with more models joining the line-up soon. Modules, mounts and additional accessories are available to order from the Trakka website from September.
