Czech importer secures more stock

Highest number of vehicle arrivals in two years, ongoing finance deals for Skoda

31 May 2023

SKODA Australia has confirmed that the arrival of 1000 new vehicles this month is the Czech importer’s largest shipment in two years, the broad model mix replenishing dealer stocks with 300 Kamiq, 200 Kodiaq, 175 Octavia, 150 Karoq, 100 Scala, 90 Superb and 40 Fabia variants.

According to Skoda Australia national sales and planning manager, Kieran Merrigan, the latest arrivals ensure there is now adequate supply for buyers interested in taking home a new model now, with selected models to be offered with complimentary servicing and roadside assistance until the end of the financial year.

“For the first time in two years, this latest intake of Skoda models can finally meet the strong demand in the market for these products,” said Mr Merrigan.

“Particularly since we introduced the seven-year warranty, and with the current offer of seven-year complimentary servicing and seven-year roadside assistance on MY23 Scala, Kamiq and Karoq until June 30, we are seeing a surge of interest in Skoda.

“We have coupled this with special ongoing finance offers and guaranteed future value to make Skoda the brand you choose for a winning trifecta – high specification, strong value and transparent ownership credentials.”

Skoda Australia continues to offer finance on its seven-model range from as little as $89 per week, as follows:

  • Scala ($89 p/w)
  • Kamiq ($95 p/w)
  • Fabia ($98 p/w)
  • Karoq ($108 p/w)
  • Octavia ($109 p/w)
  • Kodiaq ($132 p/w)
  • Superb ($149 p/w)

Mr Merrigan further suggested that the arrival of new stock into Skoda dealerships nationally arrives at a great time to allow business owners to take advantage of the federal government’s instant asset write-off before the offer ends on June 30.

Skoda has sold 2466 vehicles to date this year, a 400 unit increase over the same period in 2022.

The passenger car model mix includes 141 Fabia variants (which currently places the model as the second-best seller in the Light over $30K segment), 172 Scala variants (sixth place in the Small under $40K segment), 474 Octavia variants (third place in the Medium under $60K segment), and 93 Superb variants (second place in the Large under $70K segment).

SUV models fare even better with 622 examples of the Kamiq sold to the end of April (SUV Small under $45K), 541 Karoq variants (SUV Medium under $60K), and 423 Kodiaq variants (SUV Large under $70K).
