Global recognition for Hino Australia

Aussie network’s service and parts departments awarded for top customer service

30 Jun 2023

HINO Australia has been recognised on the global stage this month with head office awarding the local importer its fifteenth successive Parts Department of the Year award and its twelfth consecutive Service Department of the Year award.

“These accolades, in addition to receiving the Parts Excellence Award for the third time, reinforce the outstanding commitment that our tireless team of dealers and head office staff have to our customers,” said Hino Australia vice president of product support, Greg Bleasel.

The Parts Excellence Award is awarded to a small number of distributors that demonstrated overall excellence including ensuring a consistently high supply of parts to dealerships and customers.

“Featuring innovative technology and almost twice the capacity of the previous facility, our new Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) provides us with the flexibility to further improve efficiencies with the distribution of Hino Genuine Parts to our dealer network, providing our customers with even higher levels of support and service,” said Mr Bleasel.

“The PDC, which opened in 2021, has again facilitated record-breaking part sales growth of 15 per cent year-on-year. Its increased capacity allows us to store a wider range of Hino Genuine Parts, including larger components such as engines and cab assemblies.

“Our service network of committed Hino dealers continues to deliver exceptional support to our customers, which is complemented by our comprehensive technical training program that ensures our Hino technicians maintain, diagnose and repair our vehicles in the most efficient way possible.

“Importantly, there has been a strong emphasis recently on Hybrid Electric training to support the significant increase of 300 Series Hybrid Electric sales over the past 12 months.

“Recruitment and retention of local and overseas technicians remains a key focus for Hino Australia, and we encourage qualified and aspiring technicians to contact their local dealership to discuss employment opportunities.”

Mr Bleasel said the global awards recognise Hino Australia’s dedication to its customers and motivate it to constantly improve.

“We are proud to again receive these awards and they will continue to motivate us to constantly improve,” he concluded.

Hino Australia has over 65 dealerships and specialist service centres nationwide.
