New models - Leapmotor - B10Leapmotor adds B10 Hybrid to rangeTwo-variant Leapmotor B10 Hybrid available this month priced from $37,888 + ORC9 Jun 2026 By MATT BROGAN LEAPMOTOR is set to bolster its previously all-electric B10 SUV range with the addition of a petrol-electric hybrid model.
Offered in two trim grades – Style and Design – the Leapmotor B10 Hybrid is available from $37,888 plus on-road costs and is said to deliver a driving range of up to 900km on the WLTP cycle.
The pricing places the newly introduced Leapmotor B10 Hybrid within striking distance of Small SUV segment rivals including the Chery Tiggo 4 Hybrid (from $29,990 driveaway), GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid (from $32,990 driveaway), Honda HR-V e:HEV (from $39,990 driveaway), Hyundai Kona Hybrid (from $36,950 + ORC), MG ZS Hybrid (from $30,888 driveaway), Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid (from $40,090 + ORC), and others.
Power for the B10 Hybrid is drawn from an 18.8kWh LFP battery offering up to 84km of all electric driving, with the remainder of the driveline comprising an electric motor and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine Leapmotor says acts purely as a generator, with electric power driving the rear wheels at all times.
Total system power is listed at 160kW/240Nm, sufficient, Leapmotor says, to offer a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 170km/h. Combined fuel consumption is listed at 0.9 litres per 100km with fuel drawn from a 50-litre tank.
The battery is able to be charged as per a plug-in hybrid at a rate of up to 6.6kW AC or 46.0kW DC, the latter enabling a 30-80 per cent recharged in approximately 20 minutes.
The first 500 Leapmotor B10 Hybrid customers will be provided with a 7kW (AC) wallbox charger (excludes installation) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) cable free-of-charge, alongside included premium paint and three years’ capped-price servicing.
Elsewhere, the Chinese-made Leapmotor B10 Hybrid retains the design, technology, and amenity of the BEV range .
The Style variant (from $37,888 + ORC) offers standard equipment that includes 18-inch alloy wheels, dusk-sensing LED headlighting, grey cloth upholstery, a fixed glass panoramic roof with electric sunshade, climate control, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment array, rear parking sensors, wireless device charging, 360-degree camera, built-in dash cam, and both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The high-grade Design variant (from $40,888 + ORC) adds to that with light or dark grey faux-leather upholstery and electric front seat adjustment, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rear LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers, power folding mirrors, a rear seat armrest with cupholders, rear privacy glass, LED ambient cabin lighting, a powered tailgate, and a 12-speaker surround sound audio system.
Exterior paint options extend to six with Light White offered as a no-cost option. Optional ($990) hues include Dawn Purple, Galaxy Silver, Metallic Black, Starry Night Blue, and Terra Grey.
Leapmotor offers the B10 Hybrid with a six-year/150,000km factory warranty with eight years or 160,000km (whichever comes first) coverage over the high-voltage battery. Service intervals are set at 12 months or 20,000km (again, whichever comes first), while roadside assistance is offered for eight years.
