18/01/16The North American International Auto Show is done for another year, and as per usual it provided motoring fans with a bunch of exciting future models and concepts.

Lexus' hulking LC500 coupe turned heads, with the 351kW V8 cutting a striking figure on the showroom floor.

Honda, Nissan and Ford all showed off new pick-up concepts, however it looks as though they won't join the thriving Aussie ute market.

And one of the biggest show-stoppers came from American boutique brand VLF Automotive, who showed off its space-aged sports car concept called The Force 1, which uses the same 8.4-litre V10 used in the Dodge Viper.

Next on the calendar is the Chicago show, and for all the latest news and concepts keep an eye on GoAuto.com.au.

05/01/16The Detroit motor show is now just around the corner, and promises to showcase some spectacular new cars from around the globe.

Porsche will reveal its new ballistic 911 Turbo and Turbo S, the latter of which achieves a power output of a whopping 427kW.

Volvo's large premium sedan, the S90, will have its debut at Motown, bringing for the first time a hybrid option which is said to put out 300kW.

And BMW will show off the baby of its M range, when it unveils the M2 Coupe.

Powered by a turbo inline six-cylinder engine, it can cover the 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds.

02/12/15Being the first event in the international auto show calendar, the Detroit show influences what models and trends will be popular for the rest of the year, and 2016 is set to be no different.

One model that will make its debut at North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2016 is the fire-breathing BMW M2 coupe, which will represent the most affordable M-badged car in the BMW stable.
