Jaecoo details J5 Track equipment offering

Battery electric Jaecoo J5 Track detailed ahead of January launch, but pricing still unknown

15 Dec 2025

JAECOO has detailed the equipment offering for its all-electric J5 Track ahead of the model’s January (2026) launch.

While the Chinese importer is yet to price the mid-sized SUV, it says the single-variant model will be “highly equipped”, with “a wide array of features that will appeal to Aussie buyers”.

Equipment highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels shod with Continental tyres, a powered tailgate, vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, remote start with climate control memory, LED exterior lighting, acoustic glass for the front doors, dual-zone climate control, synthetic leather upholstery over heated and ventilated front seats, and a 50-watt wireless device charging pad.

Infotainment features include an 8.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, the latter including eight-speaker audio, wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ‘Hello Jaecoo’ voice control, and a 360-degree camera system.

Under the bonnet, the J5 utilises a single electric motor producing 155kW/288Nm and driving the front wheels. Jaecoo quotes a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.7 seconds while having an energy consumption figure of 143Wh per kilometre.

The model is said to be able to travel 402km (WLTP) on a full charge, with 10-80 per cent DC fast charging of up to 28 minutes possible, albeit at an unspecified rate.

Jaecoo says the J5 is equipped with the “latest and greatest” safety features to “best protect all onboard occupants”. The model features as standard seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, emergency lane keeping, forward collision warning, and many more among its standard safety suite.

As elsewhere in the Jaecoo range, the J5 Track will be backed by the importer’s eight-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and included high-voltage battery coverage and capped-price servicing plan.

“We are beyond excited with the arrival of the J5 range in Australia”, said Omoda-Jaecoo Australia and New Zealand chief commercial officer Roy Munoz.

“Kicking off with the BEV variant, it will be a compelling choice in an increasingly competitive EV market.

“No other vehicle currently offers a pet-friendly interior and a large selection of accessories, which range from a dog carrier to a waterproof cargo mat, and even a karaoke machine.”
