WITH just one SUV, the XC90, Volvo established an enviable reputation for easy, functional and family-friendly full-sized all-wheel-drive vehicles. Now that same formula has been downsized with the all-new XC60, as the Swedish marque attempts to lure buyers away from BMW’s highly successful X3. With the Audi Q5 also crashing the party at the same time and Mercedes not too far away with the GLK, it will not be easy. But – in T6 guise at least – the Volvo has what it takes to take on the Germans.
