Volkswagen’s hot-hatch batch has been boosted by the return of the Polo GTI and enthusiast drivers can rejoice at the inclusion of a manual gearbox option, with more torque on offer than the two-pedal model.

Only available in five-door form, the updated GTI retains a seven-speed DSG option, and a sub-$30,000 starting price with either transmission makes the front-drive hatch an affordable entry-level model for fans of the GTI family.
