PASSAT Syncro employs a stretched Audi A4 platform, Audi engines and suspension. It provides seating positions for five passengers, all offering lap-sash seat belts. Power glass sun roof is standard and the Passat Syncro's dimensions vary slightly from the front-wheel-drive version. Height is up by 3mm, and the rear track is narrower by the same amount. The wheelbase too is three millimetres shorter.
