THE Golf's ignition key is fitted with a rolling code transponder for the standard immobiliser system. The locking cylinders in the doors and tailgate feature a freewheel mechanism to prevent them from being opened by force. A door deadlock mechanism prevents the doors from being opened from the inside and is activated when the ignition key is turned twice in the direction of locking.
