THE Bora V6 is a compact 2.8-litre DOHC 24-valve unit with a very narrow 15-degree vee angle (conventional angles are 60 or 90 degrees). Indeed, it's so compact that it uses a single cylinder-head above the block. The V6 develops 150kW at 6200rpm and 270Nm at 3200rpm, and with a relatively high compression ratio of 10.5:1 requires premium unleaded (95 RON) fuel to deliver its best. Claimed acceleration from rest to 100km/h is 7.4 seconds, top speed is 235km/h and official fuel consumption figures indicate the car consumes 11.4 L/100km on the city cycle and 6.8L/100km on the highway. Fuel tank capacity is 62 litres, seven litres more than other Bora models.
