A THREE-POINT seatbelt and adjustable head restraint can be found in all seating positions. The front belts are adjustable for height and use pretensioners and belt force limiters. Front airbags and seat-mounted side airbags are provided for both front seat occupants. Rear side airbags and head-protecting curtain airbags are not available. A child seat tether strap anchorage points is located on the rear parcel shelf behind each headrest. The doors have side-impact protection and the rigid body structure has front and rear crumple zones. Front and rear ventilated disc brakes provide good stopping power and are further aided by an anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution. Other devices assisting with vehicle control include electronic stability program and anti-slip regulation. All-wheel drive also provides additional reassurance in slippery conditions.
