First look: New TVRs make debut

CENTURION specialist sports car survivor TVR has freshened its four-year-old, hand-built and bespoke Tuscan with the "Tuscan 2" development, in coupe, new convertible and upgraded ‘S’ versions.

It features uprated engines, revised suspension tuning, improved aerodynamics and a refreshed cabin.

Meanwhile, its new 298kW 4.0-litre six-cylinder Sagaris sports coupe is based on the existing T350.

Developed for the endurance and motorsport arena, the $128,000-plus (in the UK) two-door comes with a front splitter and rear diffuser distinctively inbuilt into the bodywork.

TVR says it will hit 100km/h in 3.7 seconds on the way to a top speed in excess of 310km/h.

The Sagaris’ engine is also the basis for the Typhoon 2+2 coupe, but it produces 433kW.

Costing almost $220,000 in the UK, it is capable of 345km/h.

Neither is expected to arrive locally.
