TOYOTA revealed its beefed-up Rav4 range at the Sydney motor show, complete with Camry's 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine, which Toyota says out-performs some of its 2.5-litre compact SUV rivals.

Common across the facelifted three and five-door wagon range are upgraded exterior features such as a new front bumper, new pattern-mesh grille, new front combination lamps, white indicator lenses and new rear combination lamps, hard spare wheel cover and body-coloured door handles.

Apart from the bigger 2.4-litre engine, Rav4 now also comes standard with cruise control in the base model CV three-door, which is now priced at $28,390. The CV five-door is now $31,290, while the Cruiser three-door is priced at $33,490 and the Cruiser five-door is $36,490.
