THERE'S more than a little Celica to the dash design of the RAV4, such as circular air vents (originally stolen from Alfa Romeo) with metallic ring surrounds. More "Metallica" appears on the centre cluster, such as aluminium-look inserts, exposed screw heads and painted rotary dials. At night the dials become amber, a colour Toyota claims reduces eye fatigue. A transmission indicator in the instrument display is included on automatic models. Cruiser models have a three-spoke steering wheel, coated in leather, as standard equipment.
