The DVD-based satellite-navigation system uses touch-screen control and allows the user to choose screen orientation, colour and dual-map functions. It will store up to 106 pre-programmed destinations and also provides setting of destination via latitude and longitude reference points. Toyota says the DVD contains all road map data for Australia's capital cities and major towns, which is equivalent to 16 street directories. The company says DVD satellite-navigation systems are faster at calculating than CD-based systems. The system lists tourist attractions, restaurants, hotels, shops, community services and amusements.
