Light alloy wheels are a standard part of the Prius package. They are fitted with low rolling resistance tyres to help maximise fuel economy. The Prius does get a spare tyre, but it’s a space-saver mounted below the supplementary storage area under the boot floor. Smallish 15x6JJ alloy wheels are standard on both Prius models. Snap-in plastic inserts around the outer rims of the alloy wheels are designed to improve aerodynamics. The Prius is fitted with 195/60R15 Michelin Energy tyres.
