Toyota says the Prius has the interior space of a medium car in a body no longer than a small car. It is larger than the previous model, with front legroom and headroom said to equal the current Camry. This is due partly to the relatively tall roofline (overall height is up by 5mm to 1490mm) that allows the seats to be set higher and provides a more upright driving position. The interior is 62mm wider than before, even though exterior width is only up by 30mm, and length has been increased by 135mm to 4445mm. The wheelbase has been increased too, by 150mm to 2700mm.
