The front seats are manually adjusted, even in the i-Tech version. The driver has height adjustment via a pump-up lever on the side. The head restraints are designed to help minimise whiplash injury although they are not as purpose-built as those in, say, a Saab or Volvo. The back seats fold flat and incorporate a 60-40 split fold to enhance the luggage carrying abilities. Basic and i-Tech Prius models have high-grade cloth-covered seats. The rear seat incorporates a fold-down centre armrest. The seats are set relatively high, which improves comfort and legroom.
