THE Prado offers a nicely engineered braking system with ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels, close to equal in size front and back. The TX also picks up a standard anti-lock system that is a combined Toyota-Aisin affair with four sensors and three channels (the rear wheels are operated in tandem even if lock-up is detected independently). The system is aided by a load-sensing proportioning valve that adjusts braking force between front and rear wheels depending on the load carried.
