TOYOTA has continued its 50th birthday celebrations for the LandCruiser nameplate with the release of a limited edition Prado model.

Based on the GXL V6 model, the 50th Anniversary LandCruiser Prado features extra equipment including dual air-conditioning, driver's seat height adjustment, second-row seat centre armrest, Moquette upholstery and floor mats.

Pricing is $49,660 for the manual and $52,190 for the auto version.

The limited edition model also gains a range of exterior appointments, including gloss-finish alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers and side cladding, and a full chrome pack consisting of the grille, door handles and mirrors. It also picks up headlight covers, a hard spare wheel cover, rear sun shade and 50th Anniversary badging.

Only two exterior colours are offered - Sterling Silver metallic and Canopy Green mica - and both come with Moon Mist Grey interior trim.

Toyota is also planning a 50th Anniversary model of the LandCruiser 100 Series for release around July.
