HILUX can claim many things, but having the largest cabin in its class is not one of them. After stepping up to reach the seat in the HiLux you notice your legs are fairly level with the floor as they extend to the pedals, much like a sports sedan position, making stability in the saddle difficult - especially off-road. The dual cab offers seating for five adults with front bucket seats and a rear folding bench seat. Many dual cabs suffer from a cramped rear seating position but the Hilux has a reasonable amount of legroom and a good-sized door opening, making up for a lack of shoulder and headroom. All seats get lap sash seatbelts except the centre rear, which has a lap only belt. The front buckets have adjustable head restraints and the rear outboard seats fixed head restraints.
