HILUX SR5 4x4 models come standard with custom 15-inch alloy rims fitted with Bridgestone, Dueler HT 255/70R15 light truck tyres. The spare tyre is located under the rear of the vehicle on a wind-down chain operated using the crank handle supplied. The quiet riding Bridgestones provide good all-round service but the grip pattern is designed mainly for road use or sandy track and beach work, where flotation is required rather than aggressive tread.
